Ernest Anthony Nagy

Ernest Anthony Nagy, age 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away April 18, 2020, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born April 20, 1935, to Stephen and Sophia Nagy in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. His parents were born in Hungary; he is the first generation born an American.

Ernie was raised in Ellwood City where he played basketball and graduated from Lincoln High School. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of sergeant. He also played basketball and softball for the Air Force as well as being involved in the early development of computers.

Ernie was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). He worked as a mailman for 30 years in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 18 years, Judy Nagy; children, Kathy (Jerry) Healy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Debbie Benet of Monterey, Tennessee, Cindy (James) Bedwell of Sherwood, Arkansas and Lisa Youngblood of LaBelle, Florida; grandchildren, Keith Purdy, Melissa (Matthew) Maxson, Tanner Bedwell, Gary (Kiana) Clark, Andy (Lauren) Benet, Justin Benet, Chris Healy and Lauren (James) Rogers; and sister, Virginia Cichy of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
