Kenneth I. Strohecker

Kenneth I. Strohecker, age 80, of Muddy Creek Township, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit in Butler.
Born November 7, 1935 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Kenneth C. and Alice (Dietrich) Strohecker.
Ken was a faithful lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he acted as deacon. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After 31 years of dedicated service,… Ken retired from Halstead Mitchell as a shift foreman. He drove a truck for over 14 years and for four years, drove for the Auto Auction. Ken will be most remembered as a man who loved spending time with his family, relishing in his work and most importantly, everyone who knew Ken, loved him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two loving daughters, Kim S. Muntz of Portersville and Renee L. Jackman and her husband, Randy, of Butler; his special friend, Joan French of Ellwood City; his brother, Stanley Strohecker and his wife, Judy, of Ellwood City; his sister, Gail Boots and her husband, Bob, of Portersville; his two grandchildren, Joshua D. Muntz and his wife, Amanda, of Leesburg, VA and Chelsea A. Muntz of Pittsburgh; his three great-grandchildren, Madalyn Michelle Muntz, Kenslee Grace Muntz and Joshua Andrew Muntz, and his beloved dog, Muffin.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy A. (Scott) Strohecker whom he married on November 29, 1957 and who passed away on May 4, 2013; his two children, Kenneth Scott Strohecker and Lynette Ann Strohecker and his brother Edwin “Bud” Strohecker.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, Harmony, PA 16037, with Rev. Barbara Love, officiating.
He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 324 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, PA 16063.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the Zion Lutheran Church.
