John H. Eady, 75, of Rochester, passed away March 21, 2010, in Rochester Manor.

Born May 30, 1935, in Ellwood City, a son of the late William F. and Tommie (Nelson) Eady, he was a retired engineer with Conrail in Conway and was Methodist by faith. John enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Eady, in 2008; a sister, Vivian Crawley; two brothers, John Davis and William J. Eady, and a daughter-in-law, Betty L. Eady.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen L. Eady-Lockett, Pittsburgh; four sons, John E. Eady, Rochester, and his companion Dorothy Tillman, Beaver; Terry L. Eady, Rochester; Scott H. Sr. and Heather Eady, Rochester, and Lionel C. Jones, Freedom; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice M. Smith, New Brighton, and her companion, Hardy Barrett, Beaver Falls, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Wayman Chapel AME Church, 1120 Sixth Ave., New Brighton. The Rev. Wilma Jean Smith will officiate, assisted by Lay Pastor Cicero Lassiter.

Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery
