Charlotte Pratt DeCarbo-Caparoula March 03, 1935 - September 12, 2018 Charlotte N. DeCarbo-Caparoula, 83, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at her residence. Born on March 3, 1935, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Perry Pratt. She was preceded in death in 1989 by her first husband, Harry DeCarbo. Surviving at home is her beloved husband of 21 years, James Caparoula. Charlotte had worked for the U.S. Post Office and as a secretary and bookkeeper for Conn Construction. She retired from the Prothonotary Office of the Lawrence County Courthouse. A devoted member of St. Vitus Church, Charlotte had served as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the choir and Ladies Guild. She enjoyed traveling. A loving wife and mother, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by her two sons, Ricky J. DeCarbo and Terry DeCarbo, both of New Castle; and her extended family of stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Pratt Sr. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church, officiated by the Rev. Frank Almade.
